There’s nothing quite like seeing a project you’ve designed standing proud by the roadside, especially when it’s along a busy route like the Rainford Bypass. When Thomas Samuel got in touch, they wanted signage that would do more than just point people in the right direction. It needed to make an impression, show off their brand, and look right at home on site.
We kicked things off with a site visit to check out the space in person. It’s amazing how much you pick up when you’re actually stood there, the height of the land, the direction of traffic, where the sunlight hits. We worked closely with the builder and the client to find the best position for maximum visibility (without blocking any views or causing a roadside distraction, of course).
Once we’d mapped it all out, we got to the fun bit, the creative. Based on what we’d seen on site, we pulled together design ideas, mockups and visuals to show exactly how the finished signage would look once installed. This part always helps clients picture the final result and make sure it feels just right before we hit ‘go’ on production.
The signs themselves were 2400 x 1200mm, printed directly onto dibond panels, a durable, long-lasting material that’s perfect for outdoor use. It’s sturdy, weather-resistant and gives the design a clean, professional finish that really stands out. After everything was approved, it was time for manufacture and installation, handled with the same attention to detail as the design.
